Two trailers and over 2000, I've never heard of that. But helpers are there more for moral support than anything. Personally they slowed me down, but they made my day extremely enjoyable to work for that company.

I think I would rather take 2000 cases at some schools in Sauk Rapids than 500 in South Minneapolis any day.

I worked for US Foods out of Seabrook, N.H.

I really liked that job and I liked the company as well. I left to go to ABF to do LTL which was teamsters, something that I preferred.

I’m hearing alot of talk from some of you guys about how difficult and hard on your body foodservice is...

I’m 60 years old and I know that the job wouldn’t be too hard for me. I could start tomorrow and do it well, and I just might. That includes the ramp, the two wheeler stacked with tons of meat, scary ladder-like stairs into a dark basement of a restaraunt etc. I delivered in downtown Boston, Cambridge, Gloucester, Watertown, Revere etc.; some places were around when Paul Revere decided to partake in a pint or two in those very same places that were built 250 years ago so getting a two wheeler into those spooky basements while your truck was parked illegally and blocking traffic on Summer St. was a real ‘pissah’ indeed. Oh those lovely Bostonians can be so understanding; especially the mid finger jabberwokky; are we going to fight now right here in the street?

I don’t think I’m anything special, just another average joe, but I do think that many of you guys are intimidated by this type of work and you don’t need to be.

I did food/beverage all together 4ish years. I never understood why they simply don’t utilize helpers, and just dangle the carrot of a cdl training program.

when I worked at Budweiser anyone over 700 cases got a helper, and if you didn’t management was going to at some point meet with you. The crappy part was 700 cases didn’t include grocery; so you could have 690 cases to throw, and 15 skids of bulk grocery you’re still working a good 14-16 hours. In my opinion having a helper or someone to talk to doing food service makes the job easier regardless if you’re throwing 3x the amount of cases

I don't think most guys are intimidated by this type of work. I just got tired of working 13 hours a day. But knock yourself out ..I hear they're looking for drivers

I just saw a ad from US foods stating that will give a 25000 relocation and 10000 bonus if you move to Oregon to work for them and that You don't pay sales tax in Oregon.

That type of local work is most definitely not for me, but there might be someone who wants their job to be their gym. Saw this in an email from Ziprecruiter and thought I'd share.
