Dry van with rear forklift attached?

Doesn’t seem very practical for a dry van. You can get the pallets off the tail, but then you still need a pallet jack to move the rest of them to the rear. At that point you might as well just use a liftgate and pallet jack. Make it an electric pallet jack if it’s something difficult to move.

Maybe there’s some niche uses I’m not thinking about, and I’m sure you could get a custom setup if you really wanted to.

 

I was told by one of the accounts I service those moffetts are not as off road capable as you think. They get stuck all the time and they have to get someone to rock back and forth on the mast to gain traction on sand/dirt

 

I am experiencing this right now at my new gig. Got stuck in sand 3 different times this week. Moffetts suck on off road.

 

Maybe lowering the psi in the Moffetts tire would work? They always looked like their tires had good off road tread

 

It's funny you said that, one of the veteran guys here told me to bring it to 30psi. I had no idea. They were at 50psi when I kept getting stuck. Thanks for the tip!

 

I found one out in the wild the other day. A Moffett on the back of some sort of specialized Tyson trailer, pulled by a JB Hunt Ag Services tractor. Clearly something poultry related, like what @MACK E-6 was referring to.
