So say you leave out from the house for 4 weeks, sometime and the end of week 2 or the start of week 3 the company wants you to swing by a shop to get the vehicle inspected. -

How much do you pay drivers to take time out of their day to call various truck stops to see if they are even available to do it? or do you just expect them to pull into every truck stop and see if there's a mechanic available?.. how long are they expected to stay in a truck stop to get this done? for example the TA says it will be 3 hours before we can do it are they expected to sit around for 3 hours? This is not a problem with the drivers it's a problem with your company. If you're the one in charge of this then you personally call truck stops on the driver's route and schedule a mid trip which we both know you're not going to do.

Mid trip inspection is a joke. Save your money

If the company wants a "Mid Trip Inspection", they should set up a schedule to where their trucks come thru the yard every so many days and have their mechanics do the inspection. Sure it will screw up many driver's pay, but hey, they aren't as important as the front office guy who wants the inspections.
beastr123 Thanks this. -

Spending 3 hours for Skippy to thump my tires and look at my lights isn't going to happen unless I'm getting paid.
