. Well to answer your Q. I can only say Beware and ask questions...UPSF I know for a fact even as a line haul driver you will be on call that could last for many years...They’ll tell you to come in and you’ll be more of a dock worker than you are a driver..And the line haul may only be 80 miles away and you’ll work the dock at that terminal. And let me mention you swipe your time card as dock PAY not driver wages.. this is something they didn’t tell me at the interviews. Some LTLS are getting away from drivers working the dock for hrs then drive there line haul at night And you must perform as a seasoned dock worker or you’ll be reprimanded ..R&L at some terminals got away from the COMBO crap because they couldn’t keep drivers ..Some do some don’t..Again ask questions..UPS IF your new you’ll be at the bottom of the board..and could be there quite awhile.. good luck
Has anyone worked at both?
