Yeah I’m on iOS, I thought it might have been down. Quick fix seems to be to delete the app and re-download it, and sign back in.

Almost got hit again today. Waiting in line at the guard shack at my delivery, behind another Shaffer. He had his foot on the brake, but musta let off just a little and started coasting back, more and more and more. I was way off of him thank goodness, he heard my horn and stopped about 2' from my hood. I had a truck right behind me, and a line of Walmarts beside me, so I was bracing for impact.
Speed_Drums, Itsbrokeagain, JoeyJunk and 8 others Thank this. -

Whew. Do you know anything about the five days out home on Sat. and Sunday Southeast regional?
-
I'm interested in the answer to this question myself. I'm thinking of Crete and a few of their regional/dedicated home weekly fleets interest me, but I wonder if they are true to their word about the weekly hometime, or if, once you sign on, you're out 'till they decide you can go home...Rugerfan Thanks this.

They’re pretty straightforward with you..hometime is one thing they emphasize…the asset managers get graded on that along with other things...if you’re on a dedicated account you’ll be pretty much on the schedule they tell you when you hire on .as with trucking there might be a hiccup or time at times but they strait forward.Voyager1968 Thanks this.

You'd have to check with recruiting. I have only ever been OTR with them, so regional gigs are almost like a different company to me. But like @drvrtech77 says, they're pretty open and up front with how things work on specific fleets and with a driver's hometime.Voyager1968 Thanks this.

Walmart D/C's have changed quite a bit from years ago. It the early days of my career, live unloads at a Wally meant 5, 6, 8+ hours. Yesterday, I live unloaded in just over 3 hours, and my b/l was as thick as a small town phone book. I think they ordered at least 1 case of everything, so there was a lot of sorting. Then I was off to pick up a load in Stuarts Draft headed for Edwardsville again. The load was ready days ago, and can delivery anytime up to midnite Sunday night, so no rush, inconvenience, or pressure (other than running all the way across I-64 from I-81 to the St. Louis bypass. Lotsa hills to slow down progress).
I actually tempted fate and stopped to get some groceries at a Wally Supercenter on Black Friday. Actually, it wasn't any more crowded than a normal day. I guess with all the online stuff being bought, actual stores don't get hammered like they use to.Speed_Drums, Lonesome and dwells40 Thank this. -
My mom and sister and wife went shopping yesterday and they all said that there were no deals in the stores. I guess it was all online.
Speed_Drums Thanks this. -
