What can I expect to spend to get this done. Is it safe to do at a T A?
I have a shop I use near the house. But don't to go back in right now if I don't have to.

I don't know if I'd trust a truckstop shop for front and rear crank seals.

If your saying CRANK seals, HELL NO! Use a good engine shop familiar with your engine.

My local shop is 110 an hour. How long of a job is it?
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
Not familiar with the DD but it's most likely a pretty involved job. Transmission, clutch and flywheel of the back end and a bunch off the from as well
shooter19802003, feldsforever and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
It’s wise to have them go thru the whole transmission since it’s gonna be down. I good shop will be straight up if it needs bearings, synchros etc. It might not anything but seals. Depends on your pocket book, I myself would have them go thru everything, including clutch, rear main seal, motor mounts and the rear block seal if it has one. I’ve also had my transmission coolant lines and fuel lines replaced since it’s all easier to get to when the trans is down. But that’s me.

Pretty common leaks IMO. If they aren't creating a serious issue I would ignore them both and replace them when it's convenient like doing the rear if you have to drop the transmission. I certainly wouldn't trust a truckstop to do it either.
