I would think you could PC it in that instance. I'd try at least

Since I had a trailer and wasn't allowed to drop, High Command would consider it advancing the load, even though I am returning to the scene of the grime. If I dropped and bobtailed out I would have used PC.

Well, I was assured by both my A/M and the CSR for this customer that this would be a drop/hook like the info said...so now, I am sitting in the back lot of the shipper waiting...to be live loaded. So much for believing anything a CSR says. I guess when they get sick of being a used car salesman, they become CSRs, or load planners. My A/M gets a pass on this one because, his info came directly from the CSR.

I'm still tossing up whether to choose Crete or Kohler. Kohler is pretty much a dedicated regional run. Id be home every weekend doing about 3000 miles a week at 0.50cpm. The money looks good at Crete and I like that it's supposedly 70% drop n hook, but I'd love some more comments from a driver that actually works there instead of a recruiter

It's about that time of year. Got a msg saying how dispatch will try and get every driver home for Christmas. Sadly I'm due for a cruise come March and need 12 days off so will have to work through the holiday. Hoping the new variant don't put a hamper on cruising next year.

Managed to get loaded last night and then make it all the way to the new Pilot in Faucett, MO before stopping. They had me routed from Fort Morgan, CO to Carthage thru Nebraska and then thru Lincoln, and across to Nebraska City and down I-29 to KC instead of cutting down the backroads of CO and across 70. It wasn't that much further to go their way, with their fuel stops rather than how I would have gone, and then having to request new fuel stops, so I went their way. It's like old times...woke up at 1:45 to deliver at King Soopers yesterday, then a quick nap in their staging area before the deadhead to Fort Morgan, and had around a 90 min nap before going to get loaded...and a 30 min nap before my fuel stop in Grand Island...and that was it for my sleep in 35 hours...I tried to get more before heading to get loaded, but I really wasn't tired then. But once I stopped for the day in Faucett, my head wasn't on the pillow 2 minutes and I was in LaLa land for a few hours. Then I discussed the timing of my delivery and my next load with my A/M, and layed back down for another nap. From what he hinted at, it sounds like I might be on vampire shift another night or two after I deliver this load, he said my next load won't be ready for pickup until 1800 tomorrow (didn't get any details yet, but they have been keeping me preplanned ahead of time, so I am sure I'll see what it is soon)

Well, it's official. With this weeks check, this is now the highest paying job (as a company driver) I have ever had, and there are still 4 more paychecks yet to come this month.

Looks like another Crete driver was involved in another serious crash (doesn't appear to be in any way at fault, just at the wrong place at the wrong time)

One part of the video shows what appears to be a mangled stroller...:biggrin_2553:
