90 Year Old Bridge Off Limits

Those beams didn't rust out in a matter of 2 or 3 years. Bet its been questionable for the last decade.

 

Now the question is, will Maine replace the bridge? At that location, the detours around it aren't that long, so spend some of that infrastructure money and build back better. It's not like it is a "bridge to nowhere" that governments like to tout.

Or just wait until a heavy CRE or Swift truck trys to cross it and it falls in...then the trucking company's insurance replaces it.

 

Give a "professional paint job" (to eliminate the "scary appearance") then reopen it as "New" with the weight restriction.

That bridge is decrepit and should be condemned. A big accident and lawsuit awaits the great state of Maine.
