Can a driver "stream live" while driving?

As a FedEx Freight employee I'm fairly certain that fedex would have a problem with streaming while driving. It was only in the last couple of years that police was charged to be able to use headsets.

But i dont know what the contract between FedEx and contracts says. But the contractor themselves would probably have a issue.

 

I couldn’t imagine a scenario that would make FedEx or UPS flip out over any more than live streaming while driving. They have rules upon rules, and rules to enforce those rules. Streaming while driving is liable to be punishable by firing squad.

 

Wouldn't that be considered a form of distracted driving?

I don't drive for FedEx but I have been live streaming my driving for 3 and a half years, often 12 hours since that is youtube's limit. There is another youtube channel that has been live streaming his driving for over 10 years. Big Rig Travels is the channel name. He often has over 500 people watching him drive down the road.

I don't understand why the OP wouldn't have first thing called Fed Ex, and asked them if it is against their company rules.
Also wonder why it bothers the OP if a guy streams it?

While I don't desire to stream from my own truck, it doesn't matter to me if others do.

 

Also, consider a lot of companies have cameras installed in the truck, facing in and and facing out. We hear tons of stories of companies being able to tune in live to see what you are up to. So why would the driver not be allowed to live stream from their own device? Drivers often run their own dashcams, I say why not live streams? I can agree it would be distracted driving if the driver interacted with the live chat while driving. There are options to turn the live chat off and allow your moderators to police the live chat part for trolls. The risk of live streaming is when it captures something truly terrible. A woman ran from the shoulder directly in front of my truck live all over the internet. The worst possible thing that could ever be captured live on the internet. : -(

 

Clarify "live streaming". As in watching movies? How in the hell could anyone watch movies while driving any vehicle? It is stressful enough trying to stay focused on the road and surrounding vehicles or where you are going without the distraction of streaming.
