Even tho if your loaded light or empty you can still go safely faster than 25. There's other steeper hills on RT 6 that don't have restrictions. Probably way back when most trucks didn't have Jake's and they haven't changed it since. But that's still a big ticket if caughtLast edited: Jan 9, 2022

drivers who often ignore these warnings do not consider what would happen if either their brakes failed or they lost air, sure a truck can be driven down a steep incline without slowing down, however the risk does not outweigh the potential outcome if anything happened to the brakes going down the mountain.
