Can you take a picture of the wire? What amp fuse is in it? what location is it?
What was the problem that you started looking?

4amp in line fuse located inside the apu engine compartment, wire looks to have had a connector on the end of it. Apu motor did not run for 2 years because of broken motor mounts. It’s the only other fuse in the apu engine compartment besides the big fuse. continuity test of wire says it’s the SEN wire in control board box. apu would not shut off automatically, just kept running, no artic package, new batteries, SEN test point in control box tested 0 volts, should see battery voltage. When I hooked the end of the wire in the engine compartment to a 12v source it shows battery voltage in control box and apu shut off like it should. Just wondering where that wire in the engine compartment should go

Should be able to hook it to the B+ on the alternator.

Thank you sir! Think I found it, on my alternator the blade terminal still had the connector attached, works as it should now

Just leave it hooked to 12 volts in the box.If I remember right the factory wiring was to the starter. As usually with tripac it was a bad idea as the wire and fuse were exposed to the weather. The logic I guess was to have it hooked directly to battery voltage for a more accurate reading.Tripac is a classic example of why mechanics tend to dislike engineers.

I disconnected that wire on my old truck and ran it directly from the controller to the batteries. Much shorter run, eliminated about 10 feet of wire.

Yeah I just used to hook to 12 volts in the box and leave it.Sometimes when truck batteries get changed or disconnected mechanics miss some of these smaller wires when they reconnect the cables.Seen it many a time but if you re working on your own equipment you re more likely to make sure it s done right.
