I don't understand how trucks get stuck in this. There are alternate roads in the area.

I try to avoid 65 as much as possible.

I'll run US41 down and grab 65 later.
I do alot of the Nashville area and I'll run I57 down to I24 its about half hour longer but much more peaceful

Depends on how they plow sometimes. Usually interstate highways have priority,then US/state routes then secondary roads.
