I saw one news report that said they don't have adequate water to fight it, and a fire department spokesman was calling on any or all available departments to help by bringing their tankers and pumpers to help.

I guess Walmart is taking a page out of the Flying Pilot playbook for renovations.

I wonder if they have any Crete/Shaffer drop trailers there. If they do, then we know where to find an empty around the Indy area...as long as they weren't damaged by the heat. There was a follow-up story from the residential area near there, one resident claimed they could feel the heat from the fire from their property.

How is a structure of this size, in the year 2022, not equipped with central fire suppression? There's no way they're putting that out with tankers and pumps. I mean, who would insure that without a sprinkler system?

They said it had one, but it was overwhelmed by the speed and intensity of the fire. It has mostly burned itself out.

They definitely need an in house fire brigade.

"Officials said many employees had to leave their phones during evacuation and couldn’t contact family, CBS 4 reported."

Yeah, thats a nope from me, im not working at any place that requires me to leave my phone in a locker or the car. Places that expect that kind of control over their employees and arent running a particle accelerator or some such highly sensitive equipment are just being authoritarian twits that im uninterested in participating in their power-tripping. Same goes for places i pick up or deliver that require me to show my license and make a copy of it, if youre not the department of defense, a nuclear reactor or something on that level, its all just stupid. Im delivering coils of steel to your water heater plant, give me a GOOD reason you get to keep a copy of my license without showing me your protocol for destroying the data the second i leave.
