Best advice.
Even with a ladder, getting tarps up there, edge protection, balancing that far off the ground - I’m not keen on it.
If shipper won’t crane tarps over, forget it. Not worth breaking your neck over it.

I should be fine on the lower deck. As far a neck breakage goes, I am a little worried about that top step.shooter19802003, MOBee, CAXPT and 4 others Thank this.

I just declined a load of A-frame glass, because they wanted it tarped.
If you're stuck tarping, unroll the tarp end to end, but don't unfold it. Then lay it up there in sections. Then unfold it. If you can't find edge protection, maybe but a couple mudflaps and cut them in half. Make sure the edge protection is in place and fastened very securely. If the tarps get destroyed, then you not only wasted your time tarping, but you're out tarpsnow, and you have to waste time sourcing more.TooTiredToTalk, shooter19802003, MOBee and 5 others Thank this. -
They won't be mad I showed up without a tarp over it?shooter19802003, CAXPT, God prefers Diesels and 2 others Thank this.

They’ll be happy with clean product. That’s about all they care about.
Though pricy - I’ve used mobile wash units before to prevent dragging half of MI road salt into a spotless customer.shooter19802003, CAXPT, TravR1 and 6 others Thank this. -
You want it to be as dry as possible and if you can park at the receiver the night before, then act like you just untarped.shooter19802003, MOBee, CAXPT and 5 others Thank this.

If they sent you out of the yard not tarped then run with it.

Why couldn’t the loader just throw the #### tarp up there for you? Did you ask him? I understand you were trying to be nice and get out of their way, but sometimes you gotta just be a boss and not be afraid to be in the way for a minute. They’ll get over it. I’m not saying be a jerk, but if they want you to haul their crap then they can sit there and wait for you to secure the #### thing. Just my opinion lol.
