Does anybody have any insight into this position? They all of sudden started advertising this in most of their yards here in FL saying the driver would average $108k a year. Seems like an interesting position since it’s mostly hub to hub but I’m concerned that the pay might be way off.

    BennysPennys Thanks this.

I worked for Averitt for almost 20 years. The pay they quote in ads, like most companies, is probably the optimistic estimate, but you should be able to get close to it. Ask for them to have a current driver doing that job contact you so you can ask all the questions you need answered. The office person, or recruiter, is not likely to know anything except average pay, typical schedule. I found the company to be honest and helpful. I think 20% of the employees have been with the company at least 20 years. That is a phenomenal difference from most companies. The drivers that stay, like me, are Boy Scouts not Cowboys. Cowboys should not apply.

Team shuttle is the highest paying position at Averitt. I know we get a pay raise in about a week so I don’t know what top out pay will be. Averitt has excellent benefits. I am a city/drayage driver out of Chattanooga, so I don’t have the specifics of this particular opening. Hope this helps.

I have found that Averitt UNDER quotes you in the add. when i started the pay was .705 cpm and they told me i would average 5k miles a week as a team. Ha! they are going to run you non stop for up to 5 days. depends on how hard you want to run. right now the pay is .80 cpm and i get anywhere from 5600 to 6k miles a week. do the math on that at 52 weeks. if i decided to start screwing off alot i might make $108k. only down side is the trucks are governed at 65. 9 times out of 10 when you get to a service center and drop your trailer they have another load sitting there waiting on you. not the top paying ltl carrier out there but not bad.

I was just looking at a team shuttle position on their website. I have the 4-months of minimum experience they require, but my wife is still in the process of getting her CDL. Does anyone know if they're flexible on that part?
