These civil forfeiture laws need to be looked at more with a microscope..too much power to just take folks property without proof of a crime even being committed is unacceptable

 

You have to be richer to throw money around without consequences. No one questions the people laundering millions in art that is kept tax free in foreign trade zones at airports.

 

While they're at it, get rid of the FINCEN laws, too.

 

Didn’t it used to be law that you had to have some money on you when hanging around out in public at one time. Like loitering or vagrancy type of thing. I used to here some older folks mention it from time to time to never leave home without a fee bills in your pockets or you could get ticketed or arrested. Maybe just a southern thing?

Anyway. Truck drivers traditionally have always carried lots of cash. Used cash to pay for every thing out on the road. Some like me don’t trust banks or other people with it and if you live in the truck where else you gonna keep it. Buried under a tree so Andy can find it after his escape from Shawshank? Lol.
