It is better to be late than never. Take the load, take your time, after load tell you are late for so long.. traffic, construction (and there are whole bunch now), accident, blown tire, long line in McDonald's, whatever. Any appointment can be moved in any direction if there is a need for a load. Dispatch may shout, grind their arm chairs, threaten.. smile and take the load to a destination at a safe pace.

Good points. But you know what it's not so easy switching. You have to clean out the truck, transport your stuff, etc...

Then find another company which will hire me on in a day..... Seems like things could be simpler.

You sound like you've been around the proverbial block once or twice.
    So true.
Glad you mentioned the lies that dispatchers told customers about your driving.
Accidentally heard some lies about why I'll miss the delivery and my hair raised on my back.
Outrageous lies told by office staff to the customers.

What gives the load issuing people the right to issue loads? Good question.

In my opinion, it's the cause of many accidents.

    Dispatchers rushing drivers.

I think it is the more likely rushing drivers who are scared of rushing dispatchers.

When you’re researching a company do you talk to their drivers out on the road? Do you reach out to any of their current drivers on social media? Or do you simply believe what the recruiter tells you? And you should try and save up a cushion so that you don’t have to be hired on in a day. Even saving a couple week’s worth of money would ease some of the burden of finding a new job. I’m not sure why you are so adamant on shifting the responsibility onto the person behind a desk, especially if you’re working for a mid-to-large size company. When they throw an impossible load on you do you really think you’re the only truck they have in that area for the load?

Lack of personal responsibility is a huge problem in today’s world. Everyone always wants it to be someone else’s fault instead of owning up to the part they themselves play in it. What were the two companies that threatened you? Might as well put them out there so that everyone knows. Then figure out why you yourself keeps going to work for companies who treat people that way and figure out how to change it.
