Obviously they are the big guy -> Do they pay drivers well? I read an article that said they are signing way to cheap deals with Carmax and pressuring pay for the entire industry? Was back form like 2016 though - is this still the case?

I've always thought of them as the Swift of car hauling. In the past, as a last resort only, I have hauled for them. The rates were absolute garbage and probably still are. They can have all the CarMax they want, if I never pulled CarMax again, it would be too soon...Driver pay is said to be really low for the company drivers but they do train the inexperienced.

I worked over there when they had the contract out of spring Hill, TN I think it was around 2009. it wasn't bad back then made decent money ran well and my truck was new. ran a triangle when ever I left spring hill no matter which direction i went in. I haven't seen them much lately although i know they still exist. I would say if you need the experience go for it, But there are much better outfits with better pay.

If you MUST haul for a big outfit, Moore seems like a good company. I see them at Spring Hill and Sparrow Point. Not sure what they pay, but equipment isn't garbage like you see in the Jack Cooper club.

I drive for a small outfit for record.

Best advice i can give you is to try it yourself. Ask 50 people will get 50 different answers. Im signed on to them now as a O/O. Hauled a lot of their freight as a independent contractor with no complaints. The jacksonville vw freight sucks but the GM freight pays well to me. Trucks in the shop getting some love so will give you an update after my first 2 weeks pass

Yeah I’ve learned from being around a bunch of guys at a company I loved. Can’t make them all happy, some will speak highly some will drag the company’s thru the mud. Best opinion is your own
