Hi, I have a problem driving me crazy about the temp in the engine. Is a Volvo 2018 d13 500hp 650k miles on it. My problem is the truck is running way too hot. Radiator is new water pump new thermostat new coolant filter new. When the outside temp is over 60F. The truck is running on 210F and above the most I’ve seen it is 220F. The fan clutch kicks around 210 some times 220 but the temp doesn’t go down it just stop the temp to keep raising. Any advice where I should look for.

clean out the condenser in front of radiator.
Degreaser, leave it for 3-4 minutes and high water pressure to clean it, don’t concentrate on one area with high pressure or you’ll bend the fins.Another Canadian driver, Insurrecto18 and Rideandrepair Thank this. -

220 is not really excessively hot if you're pulling hard up hill with the fan on.

Shoot it with a temp gun to make sure the guage is reading correctly.

IDK, sounds to me like you have the wrong thermostat. But, that's from the perspective of a car guy. Plenty of experience wrenching on cars, none on a rig. So, my answer may be in left field. But, for a 4 wheeler, wrong thermostat would be my quess from the information provided.

I would get the themostat replaced because that is the part that controls the coolant flow in the system. if its stuck close your coolant wont flow through the radiator and hence overheating problems

If it's too high, it will raise the engine temp too.
And I would check for how long the EGR valve stays open. 30-40%? 100%?
And I would check and test the EGR cooler flow and efficiency.
Just to start.Insurrecto18 Thanks this. -
