Yea I know, I just downgraded my policy to the lowest I can have it to keep my numbers operational. Stopped cargo and comprehensive and lowered liability from 1 mill to 750. Paused my subscriptions ect...

Can’t you pay someone to drive it for you and bring income in on it?
-
It’s not worth it. By the time you pay fuel, insurance and a driver there is nothing left. Or it’s so little it isn’t worth the liabilityItsbrokeagain, Jammer', gentleroger and 6 others Thank this.

Yeah I don’t think that business model works unless you’ve got at least 3 trucks running. I’ve heard it takes about that to equal what one guy driving his own truck can clear after expenses. You’d really have to be a glutton for punishment to step into that arena IMO.Jammer', gentleroger, Lab_Rat_Logistics and 1 other person Thank this.

Not having a comp policy on a sitting vehicle might not be a good idea. That’s what usually covers acts of god like hail storms and falling tree limbs. Theft and vandalism...24kHotshot and mslashbar Thank this.

I’ve got a non commercial haul policy i keep on the spare truck, $1500/6 months covered for $35k and driveable for 50 miles, even pulling an empty trailer.

My truck is in a safe private lot with lights, cameras and somebody there 24 hrs a day. Haven't seen hail in NYC in I dont know how long, no trees or anything else hanging above the truck. Only thing that can happen is theft and they would need to be able to move multiple cars blocking my truck from driving out.
