I am sorry if this offends anyone but a driver who doesn't have the regs with them is one who isn't too bright.
The little green book costs what?
The cost of a subway sub?
Buy one if your carrier doesn't provide one for you..
Always arm yourself with knowledge.

That is true. I wasn't even aware of this until I looked at Roehl's CSA and saw that they had some violations for not having blank paper logs on the truck.

Go ahead and spring for the big copy. Maybe $15 at your finer transportation emporiums. Iowa 80 has stacks of them. Then go get a DQ milkshake and READ it.
truckguy391 Thanks this. -
It'd be better if it really was the Bible.

Spend the extra for the 'desk copy' which intermingles the 'DOT Guideance' throughout the regulations.
Helps one understand the regs when the DOT answers another confused trucker's question about that reg. -
It helps me to pretend to be an orthodox believer and communicate with the inspectors only with quotations from the Bible. It's worth noting that I care about my faith, and my apostolic church holds a special place in my heart. Yes, I know the Bible texts by heart, but I only learn them for my pleasure. Well, or to scare off the inspectors, haha. They won't want to do business with you if you start every sentence with a quote from the book of the prophet Issai or something like that. Sometimes your religiosity can help you most incredibly.

You better hope that God has a sense of humor.

I refer back to it every so often. Company should provide updated copies.
