That would be a huge pain in the balls and isn’t very practical

Thanks, I appreciate the correction. You’re right about the can, and a little more Googling convinced me that it’s not even particularly effective. I guess I’ll get some pepper spray!

Out of sight, out of mind.

I posted the link. THERE IS NO BLANKET POLICY FOR WEAPONS ON MILITARY BASES. The Base commander determines the policy for his base.

    I’m inclined to agree.

That’s also a good way to wind up on the wrong end of some very bad news like the murder your gun was used in that you didn’t know about.

Okay, superchief. Except I've served 20+ years in the Michigan National Guard, and it's commonly known policy now that all posts in the state allow concealed carry, whether that be by commanders' unified decision, or state policy. And by "posts", I'm referring to Camp Grayling and Fort Custer, not Air Guard installations or individual facilities. But every armory I've been to allows it, as well.

Kind of an off the wall question. But then again, I’m an off the wall kind of guy. Haha

Would a flare gun be legal to carry in the truck? Or could it be considered a firearm by some companies?

This is a discussion about concealed carry across the country, not just Camp Grayling & Fort Custer, or just Michigan.
