    Fuel routes... right.

My last load was from Kansas City to Tomah, WI.
Straight up I-35 to I-90E, but my only fuel stop was the Love's in Waterloo, IA.
Nowhere near my actual route via any sane GPS or map, so I ignored it.

No phone calls, no yelling at me about me calling for a new fuel stop that is actually on my route.
I ignored that one too. I don't get points or a shower credit at that place.
I had enough to get me to my final, and my next load gave me the right place to fuel.

My pickup this morning included a U-turn. That's exactly how the road is designed. Republic Foods near Lone Jack, Missouri. If I were still with Crete/Shaffer, I would have did the U-turn as the road is designed.

I'm at Swift also. I got pinged once for a rolling stop. Lesson learned. I no longer roll through any stops. Same with following distance, speeding and turning a corner too fast. I started with Swift and kinda glad about the whole thing. From the get go, I had to develop safe driving habits and I have to maintain them.
I did get away with making a u turn once. I had taken a wrong turn and gotten onto a country road. My Qualcomm wouldn't re-route me down the road I was going. My best assumption was that somewhere ahead of me would be something that would be a no go for my truck. I came to an intersection with and even smaller road. But, the intersection itself had just enough room to make a U-Turn. So, I did. And, got away with it. I saw no other option at the time. And, in the end, I guess they understood.
Anyway, sorry you got fired at Crete. Some companies are stricker than others. Swift is one of the strict ones. They do fire drivers who attain bad safety scores and don't show any improvement. From their perspective, it makes sense.
The Swift drive cam system is far from perfect. I've gotten dinged more than once for something that, after reviewing, I thought was a nothing burger. But, there have also been times when I catch myself doing something I may get pinged on and then nothing shows up. So, always thought it probably about equals out. All that said, on average about 90% of the time in my last 2 years (been driving over 2 & 1/2 now) my safety score is usually zero. IDK, if you know the expectations and abide by them, things aren't a problem.

I missed a turn while on an empty US highway in Texas. Did a u-turn with nobody for a mile in front or back of me. My GPS recalculated my route after I missed the turn and it added 40 miles to my trip. Glad I don’t have to deal with those stupid no u-turn rules.

7 years driving experience and went with a starter company.

Way more to the story than Crete being mean for enforcing safety.

In my job I have to do U-turns all day long.

But, I try to avoid it because it usually means working inefficiently.
