I have put a lot on over years but never removed one. But yes it all bolts on. Has some weight to it maybe 300 or so awkward pounds. We use to carry them up the back with about 5 guys and step ladders on Both sides. Overhead crane is a life saver.

Thanks for the quick reply. I 98% sure that I’m going to pull the trigger on this tomorrow. My first truck but I don’t need that ugly thing on top to go flatbedding
Flat Earth Trucker and Goodysnap Thank this. -
Hope it helps.
I left bolts/brackets on top of truck, i didn’t want to take a chance of it leaking water...RubyEagle Thanks this. -
We did the same with brackets. That was on a several different brands and none exactly the same as yours. Slide them off the back of the cab with three or four men. No problem.

If you are all alone it will cut up easy with most power saws. I ran adds for some of them. No response. Threw one in a burn pile, bad idea, looked like 20 truck tires on fire. The last one I thought about making a dog house but treated plywood is $50.

I was thinking of a forklift on each side. Lift it and drive out from under it. Then I thought a sawzall would be easier.

I should of included the side skirts in my original post. They are beat up and I’d like to ditch them too but not sure about the steps

You can’t really do much about the step pieces unless you buy the steps like what comes on a 579 without the skirts. The pieces under the bunk can be removed fairly easily, but you’ll have some funky bracket pieces on your tank straps. And I can’t recall for sure if the straps can be loosened and the brackets removed or if you’d need new straps.
