Git a new customer needing to haul bundled recycled paper in California. I have a 48'x102" flatbed. My question is what is my best mesh tarp size for a load that is about 8' high and maybe 40' long ?

    8 ft drop.
You can just order a custom tarp 40 ft long and with flaps on both ends, but it’ll be heavy. If you buy 2 tarps they need to be long enough to overlap on the load, would be best minimum 2 ft overlap, maybe 3.
If you want to be flexible enough to be able to cover other loads, just get 2 - 25 ft long tarps and you will be able to cove anything you put on a 48 footer.
