uhh... writing off on taxes isn't that great of a perk compared to not having to make the payment in the first place.

What you are describing is a traditional lease. You're renting the truck with the option to buy at the end of the leasing period.

SCOTUS appears to have decided not to take up the AB5 appeal. This means it will become the law of the land in California. As you all know, what happens in California often spreads like a disease to other states. Look for the leasing model in trucking to go the way of the dinosaur....

 

I never said it wasn’t a lease I was just pointing out leasing doesn’t mean you’re stuck running for just 1 carrier. With owning a business the name of the game is write offs why pay 20k-60k in taxes every year when you can pay 5k-10k js I write off everything when it comes to my business from my dog to parking to my home office etc I actually got a tax return this year
