I’ve been using an inexpensive Galanz dorm style fridge from Walmart in my International for the last year. Seriously the best $89.95 I’ve ever spent.

Yea i was gonna say they have a small square mini apartment size fridge at Walmart for a 100 bucks. The bigger one thats sorta retro fridge on bottom, freezer on top is maybe 150. Ya would have to take out the passenger seat for a good spot for the bigger one tho. We have a built in fridge in our volvo but we still run an extra plug in cooler for extra space.

Dometic has the best warranty. They will make it right idle you ever have an issue during warranty. Also there are places in in northern Indiana that fix them after warranty. Good product.

Why would ya spend several hundred for something when ya can buy a perfectly capable mini fridge at Walmart for a 100 bucks? Yea it's not gonna mount somewhere an look like it came from the factory that way but drivers have been using simple plain plug in coolers forever an ya just sit em wherever. The mini fridge would sit perfect in the passenger seat or on a board on an upper bunk an for a 100 bucks work just as good as the fancy ones everyone is talking about costing 600 to a 1000.

I've been using a cheap Alpicool from Amazon for years. It's been absolutely perfect. It's a real fridge with a compressor but it lays down like a cooler so I can slide it under my bunk or into a closet. I own a W9 but it should work in any truck and you can change vehicles with it easily.

Ideally you'd invest in a 12v fridge that'll run 24/7 without the need of an inverter or the truck engine and apu running. Good ones will be whisper silent. If you can remove your passenger seat you can fit a large capacity Iceco dual frig freezer chest. Great if you like the idea of having usability outside of trucking for mobile camping/overlanding. Prices run around $300-$900 depending on the series. While your going through the hassle of removing the seat and plugging some holes you might as well consider carpentering a custom table over the cooler to increase your counter space since you'll want to be able to setup a cutting board and increase dining space. And since you've installed a fridge to store a month of food, you'll probably want something more than a low capacity microwave (junk food reheater). There's enough space left to build functional cabinets for better storage and the largest capacity air fryers on the market. But now at this point you will need to invest in a pure sine inverter with at least 3000 watts of juice.
You can also obtain a 120v fridge from Walmart and Best Buy on the cheap and be a medium size with freezer and frig. These will emit and annoying buzzing sound. Just depends how much you care to tune the harmonics inside your sleeper. I don't mind white noise from the A/C but induce the buzzing from those fridges, I'll toss it out for a Yeti cooler and ice. Which is another functional option too. If your able to obtain dry ice it will last a long time.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.
