I read your post and understand your concern here buddy however, this particular quote of your's got my attention "they pretend to love drivers but in reality, they don't care about drivers and view them as equipment to be disposed of at any time." Do you really think its just "Soviet" or Russian based companies that think like this? I can assure you its not doesn't matter what country your in be it the US, Canada, Mexico, Australia, South Africa or Russia most companies view drivers the same way, and that is that they are replaceable. Bottom line usually is with most companies you change to, is its the same rules just a different coloured hood.

Correct it doesn't matter if you're black or white, yellow, brown, green, red....
It all starts from the top and trickles down, if the owner is a POS, you are deemed to fail quickly... The employees are a reflection of the owner

Those companies have a spot in the industry. They are there to give you a paycheck and clean up your record if need be. I've worked for one and it wasn't all bad. The comment about running the Northeast is true. They love running there. It's hard to get home at times, but I can say, I was able to pay my bills with no wasted effort. It kept my skills up, provided for my family, and bided time while my record got cleaned up. So yeah, there is use for them. Drivers just need to know when to walk away.

If all those Eastern Europe owned companies are that bad then why do most all of them have 100+ trucks.

Because its easier to buy trucks with all the money being stolen from the drivers?

Wait till all the new IRS agents get hired. It'll be interesting to see how many of these companies get nailed. Lots of these 1099 company drivers are gonna wish they went W-2... guaranteed!!!

And a lot of these companies misclassifying their drivers as contractors are going to be hating life when they get the bill.

Do you think they will give the drivers back their SET? Not a chance, they'll just double-dip and get it from their employers, too.

Seems like a better strategy is find someone you trust, that you want to work for. Someone that wants to make money WITH you not OFF of you.
