    I’ve actually shown it on invoices as an Applied Stupid Tax. It’s made for some interesting conversations with the girls in Payables at times. I had one that I’d tagged an extra $1500 or something onto. It was paid without question, but the cheque came in with a $25 Tim Hortons gift card in it and a job application filled out by every girl in the office.

    Should have spoke to her in Klingon or something.

    Years ago, I emptied out in Battle Creek, MI. Called dispatch, he said "you're going to Kelloggs, make sure you sweep out the trailer." So found a broom, gave the trailer a thorough sweeping. Called back, he gave me directions to a broker, to get the load info. Showed up there, broker said "back up to that dumpster, and sweep the trailer, or you won't get the load", So I backed up to the dumpster, and swept the trailer for the second time. He gave me directions to Kelloggs, and the load info.
    Get to Kelloggs guard shack, guard comes out, points at a broom, and says "Need you to sweep the trailer, their rules, not mine". So I grabbed the broom, and swept the trailer, for the third time. That was the cleanest Southern Pacific container in the fleet, when I was done.

    Vigorously brush your gums surrounding the broken tooth with hydrogen peroxide. I do mean vigorously. Until your gumline turns white and you cannot stand the pain any longer.

    Eventually, your tooth pain will subside, and it's more effective than using an otc pain relief gel in the long term. Use dental gum to fill any hole. Doing so will keep out what will cause you pain again.

    You may need to brush the affected tooth once or even twice more. Not as vigorous this time, but enough.

    Was given a new load this morning. Picks up in Ft Worth and has two drops in Orlando Tuesday. Pickup time 10:00 this morning.

    Arrived at the shipper at 09:30 and checked in. Shipping clerk politely says "I have bad news". She tells me that the tomatoes hadn't even been brought in from Mexico yet. But she assured me that they would get me loaded this evening or tonight.

    Didn't bother me in the least because she was nice and professional about it.
