Specifically port of Baltimore. Can a driver check a firearm at the gate and retrieve it when leaving? I assume the firearm can not remain in the truck when on port property?

I don't know about Baltimore, but the one I go to, I used to leave it in its holster until I lost it in a boating accident.

well according to some people give it a year or two, and you’ll find it. Just be on stand by when the water recedes.

Meanwhile the climate change alarmists are all up in arms (pardon the pun) about how global warming is supposed to make sea level rise and flood coastal cities.

That’s a great excuse if you are trying to say you lost one but what is your excuse if they find one where they are prohibited?

    Bean Jr. Thanks this.

This one is so tranquilo. A normal one, I wouldn't do that. I kept a safe in my truck and locked it up at shippers and receivers that felt a little more serious about it.

They won't be searching your truck there, keep it unloaded and put away. You'll be fine.

I kept mine in a case in the truck in the bunk, never had any issues at rails or ports.

No need to worry about a search at Dundalk/Seagirt. However, MD hates your right to bear arms and have many restrictions on said right so make sure you have the firearm unloaded, in a covered holster or box and tucked away in the sleeper.

RockinChair, wis bang and JonJon78 Thank this.

Last port I went to I just lost it outside the gate, in the ocean. Found it on the way out.

Big tip, don't try a military base, mofos check every where every time.

Bean Jr., RockinChair and Opendeckin Thank this.
