OTR reset tool for clearing codes ??

I have an OTR Performance for DD15, It’s kept me from going to shop a bunch from that MIL light.
and it’s derated a few times, usually plug it in 3-4 seconds and it’ll clear code.
If it needs regen it’ll force one, don’t have to do anything but plug it up.

 

There are Nexiq knockoffs on eBay that work pretty good for just a few hundred if you don't want to spend 800 dollars.

 

That changes things being MX. If Cummins, Insite can be found for nearly nothing. DAVIE is around $1800.00 one time fee. OTR might just be best bang for buck. Paccar used to use the Pac link reader for smart phone, but haven't heard much about it anymore.

 

The drivers come with it for your operating system. As far as software, I couldn't help you there. I only use ET on my truck.

 

Nexiq USB Link can be used with every OEM software to connect to a truck, it is the interface between a PC and the truck.

 

Nexiq is the communication link between your ECM and laptop. There's a learning curve here to using it combined with the software from your engine manufacturer. You should just bite the bullet and pay the 800 of you're looking for something easier to learn or pay shops a minimum of $150 each time you need them to plug in.
