So, what is the “official week” this year?

I’m trying to wrack my brain on what I could do for the 3 drivers that work for me. Small office, 6 employees total including myself for a global conglomerate.

My plant is the country club of the region, but that being said I take a lot of pride in the fact that my drivers are happy to run the wheels off the truck, never call off sick, and when other plants are closing because of a light dusting or storm in the winter, my guys make my location shine by being the only drivers on the road (don’t mistake that as me forcing them out in unsafe or inclement weather). I’m truly blessed to have the group of guys working for me that I do.

I want to do something for THEM, that is office workers are not going to partake, so that kind of puts catering a bbq or something out of the question because catering for three would be a waste. I only get one interaction from another facility’s drivers and that’s when I get my interplant stock transport.

    Thoughts?

You could take them out for lunch, gift cards/baskets, golf outing or a range day on a day off, nice bottle of whiskey and cigars for them to enjoy on their days off, if you just want to do something for the drivers you might have to get creative schedule wise and do it more one on one which I think most drivers would be happy about, shows a real sense of appreciation and its less heres a thing because its that week.

Start by telling them what you told all of us.
Then find something individually you can do for each of them. It will make them feel special.

Your company name on a clothesbag for all drivers..
Or a Blanket with company name for truck.

    They’ll take the hint.
