Smokey Point Distributing seems to have long skateboard runs.

CFI is still a driver focused company but at some point you have to weigh low low pay with zero bonus or accessorial pay for the ability to “be the captain of your ship” I haven’t broken 8,000 miles in a month but once all year and NEVER over 9,000.
President keeps beating the same lies over and over that we are the highest paid in the industry paystub to paystub. We have great miles. (Where?) and so on and so forth.
So are they nice and treat drivers well ABSOLUTELY. Do you sacrifice pay for that ABSOLUTELY.

I just want an occasional long run and to not be shoe horned into the same 12-14 states all the time. So 2500 miles per week and change of scenery.

I’ve seen 47/48 states and 3 provinces with them in 8.5 years. Average length of haul is 1637 for this year.

Still kind of shocked that 48 state isn't the default norm with most companies. I'm still currently Indian River as well. I throw a fit at the suggestion of running outside of my three state area. But luckily there seems to be enough to drivers that are willing to take on the long haul stuff I don't touch.

Some like a little variety. The rest of us love the humdrum of the predictable run.

I'm with you on that. I did the OTR thing. Got tired of stressing about parking from the moment I release the brakes to the time I see an opening. And that was getting on the road at 4 a.m. Thankfully found a good 3 state dedicated account. Avg. 8-10k miles a month consistently and get 2 FULL days off a week at home.

I know Schneider has some 48 state accounts, a lot of those are more geared for teams though. There are some solo 48's out there.

    bentstrider83 and MSWS Thank this.

I'm a night driver. But there's been a few times where I roll up to a truckstop at 10am on a Monday morning and not one person has left yet. And of course when you see some drivers busting out the BBQ grill, you know you're done as far as anyone leaving any time soon.

Of course I also do drop and hook milk tanks and just need a mere 10 hour break. Majority of the lot seems to be either vans, reefers, or flat-beds stuck on a strict appointment schedule. Yet another reason I'm glad I stay away from that.

    MSWS Thanks this.

Hey y’all just wanted to give an update. I ended up going with Nussbaum Transport out of Bloomington IL. Hell of a pay package. ESOP company so over time you are given shares of the company based on salary and time vested into the program. Super big on Faith and Family ideology. Just finished my 6 th day driving and have almost 2600 miles logged already. Every load is pre planned so there is literally ZERO down time waiting on them. As soon as you complete your delivery it auto sends your next load.
Thanks for all the help everyone. Stay safe!!

cke, Truckermania, MSWS and 1 other person Thank this.
