What insurance policy says about freight lost due to driver mistakes or stupidity?
-
They don't cover human error they have so many exclusions now we are hooped they are claiming $160000... it's a mess we are a small owner operator company.
-
Pay more to include driver error. Verify temp on every load with the driver.
-
I went through it once. Once was enough. Do what you can to salvage the load and either dump it, donate it, or sell it if you can. The best bet might be just dumping it.
There isn't really anything you can do except educate your drivers and try to survive this. -
How do we survive this do you have any tips that helped you?
-
No, I don't have any magic words for you. I wish I I did. We had the cash reserves to pay for a load of frozen fish that thawed out but we couldn't, at that time, have done it again.
Just pay the bill and go on if you can. If not, file BK and reorganize. -
Can you explain further, you couldn't pay it so what happens what do they do?
-
You won't get paid for the load. Depending on what the product is, you will have to find a dump to get rid of it. The original shipper will bill you for the cost of the product. And if you don't pay. They will sue you. Hope you have deep pockets or a healthy line of credit.
-
No deep pockets here or healthy line of credit such a ####ty situation. Do companies do payment plans for these kind of things
