One of the alerts I got said it just hit Cat 5???
We have so much water our septic tank is full
At least we have a bathroom in my semi so that’s a positive

I hope this thing takes my entire home out so I can finally get out of this State

Over the past 2 decades it’s been the “I” storms that cause the most problems.
Back in 2011 the wife and I had to deal with Irene when that storm hit our area. Although it was mostly a wind event for us(and we got hit with the worst part of the storm-the northeast quadrant) Irene caused damage elsewhere in Vermont and New Hampshire, completely washing out bridges and other infrastructure.

In 2008 some of my cousins got flooded out when Hurricane Ike made parts of Houston,Texas look like Venice,Italy.

In 2017 Hurricane Irma wreaked havoc from the Cape Verde Islands where the storm originated to Missouri where the storm dissipated.
    “Irmageddon” became a catchphrase!

In 2020 Hurricane Isaias was a weak hurricane-but still more than powerful enough to trigger a tornado outbreak (39 tornadoes, including an EF-3 tornado in North Carolina)that stretched from South Carolina to Connecticut. We had numerous tornado warnings due to the northeast quadrant hitting us.

I deliver in Charlotte, NC early Friday. I already let my dispatcher know to point me towards home after I deliver.

Oh, you didn't hear? That's because a big chunk of Long Island broke off, floated against the Gulf Stream, went around the Keys, and slammed itself right into the Nature Coast.

I tried looking up other alerts and at the time I did. None said 5 yet but one did come across as a 5
Probably wanting to be the first one with breaking news
