Good morning everyone looking for a little advice on an issue I’m having. I drive a 97 Kenworth T 600, truck is an overall great shape but when I turn whether it be high or low speed the truck kind of makes a buckling sound and clunk underneath the cab. Anybody have any experience with this if so any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Pete 379 1995 did that before I changed out the spring hanger bushings in the front.
It would quiet down after a good grease, then come back.Rideandrepair, Oxbow and Big Road Skateboard Thank this. -
Your springs are sliding side to side on tge spring pins. They're under pressure, so you get the loud pop.
Shims should do the trick.Rideandrepair, Oxbow, drivinhome and 1 other person Thank this. -

Update: took truck into suspension shop. Gentleman here says it is very possibly the springs themselves. Says they are and old style composite springs that aren’t available anymore. Have to do conversion to newer springs. Estimate $2900

Someone needs to look over the front end on that truck as well but that is what the spring hangers do when they wear out. It is very common to have problems with the hangers especially if the truck does not get greased very much.
When was the last time the truck was greased? What they need to do is let that front end hang and grease them. Grease the hell out of them and then see how it is for you. If it's better at all that's your problem. And your shocks probably need to be replaced because your shocks pretty much always need to be replaced. When they are replaced and working right they really help with dampening the shock.
I also second checking the cab isolators. They can cause some creaking and moaning but a lot of times you'll feel the cab shake when you go down the road straight, if they are really worn out. It's very common that they can be deceiving you into thinking you may have a Driveline related problem or wheels tires Etc.Rideandrepair and Mcast3092 Thank this.
