We don’t know you from a bar of soap, but it’s the general consensus that Lease Purchase is a ‘niche’ category in trucking that exists, but generally does not benefit the participant.

    You, to be precise.

That said, a few here have used the model to their benefit.

I agree it's more on the individual my question is are you looking for self dispatch have you ever seen or practiced a load board ...what kind of truck do you want do you want a lease a truck then lease on to the carrier of your choice there is so many options...so much to do.your home work on

Just FYI in my experience long ago the LPs were terrible. Really go in depth if you want to go with one. The problem I ran into along with tons of others was that the rates and miles did not cover the operating costs. That means 50% of the time you were in the hole. The way it worked was you run a good loat out to nowhere then you sit a couple days before your next load, and that load was a low rate bc everyone was trying to get out of there. I am just coming back into trucking, perhaps the programs have improved, but I wont do it again. If I can save up for a couple years maybe purchase and lease on as a complete O/O. That was just my experience, maybe others had better experiences and good luck.

I ran L/P for Schneider for 8 years. And if I sat, it was because I was out of hours.

It takes some business sense. I would never book a load unless I knew what I was going to get coming out (and could book that at the same time).

Like I said, it's about running a business. And there's 101 different things that roll into the calculation.

I promise you this, @blairandgretchen won't get under a load until he understands exactly what it costs to get back home.
And that's EXACTLY how you should roll.

Of course your going on the belief if it’s on the internet it has to be true. For example the guy who disappeared from posting here from USA truck doing a LP trying to claim he made $8500 on a 490 mile van load that p/u one day delivered the next day.you would really have to have no knowledge of freight rates to even try to think that was true.
