What did you use to prevent the top of that from punching holes thru the tarps?

Some old rubber back mini throw rugs my wife got from someone she knows in town...threw them over the top and a couple wraps of clear tape to keep them from moving as I pulled the tarp over

If you have room for them, moving blankets are a flat bedders best friend…

And are expensive. These rugs were free and we have a curtain side trailer in Arlington full of rolls of carpet we can just cut off as much as we need. I have 1 moving blanket from friends of ours, and it is convenient. They said they have more somewhere but can't find them, however those take up a lot of room...and I am a mobile hoarder, and these 680 have a serious lack of storage.

I have my moments. I ended up using the bigger tarp on the top deck freight. I put it on last night in the dark with just my load lights after I shut down...it looks better than some of the tarp jobs I have done in broad daylight...maybe I should do my tarping at night.

I looked there last week, the cheapest they had in stock at that store were $9.99 on sale.

Cheap canvas tarps also make excellent edge protection and last longer than moving blankets. They're lightweight, can be doubled or tripled over and fold up to nothing. Cheap rubber 4×4 friction mats also work good on very sharp edges.
