    The old SSR was required, it listed each State. The UCR is basically a receipt saying it’s valid. I keep a copy onboard. Required? I don’t know. First year it came out, I paid it, and got nothing for proof.

    I don’t keep a copy of it in the truck and have never been asked for it. When they run your dot number it shows if you are current or not.
