They say there’s a first time for everything. I received notice of a few of my future runs yesterday afternoon. Not real specific but at least a general idea. I know nothing is set in stone till it happens but I have had runs to all these areas before, all except one, so feel pretty confident. I was told I’ll have at least two to Arizona, Two to Florida and one to California. Been to Arizona and Florida but never California. I don’t have forced dispatch so all runs are at my choice.
Arizona and Florida no problem. California not sure. I know without a specific delivery point it’s hard to give any heads up but if anyone can give me a general idea of delivering in California it would be appreciated. Will look forward to specific info when run finalized. Thanks.

WOW!!! Hopefully nowhere near that. Guess I’ll have to see where exactly I have to go.

And if you go by Banning, CA. You’re 9/10 chance for level 1 inspection at scales.

Depends on where you go.
Don’t worry about California. Been there countless times with no problem. Just do the speed limit and make sure your equipment is up to par.tscottme, rockeee and Truckersheldan Thank this. -

Learn to love google maps satellite view. There’s almost nowhere to park but the street. Always carry some extra food and hope you don’t have to take a crap. Everywhere I deliver I look for parking on the street and save the location on google maps for future use. Some days like on Friday if you load after let’s say 1-2pm just park it and leave at midnight.

Well, my friend, you've come to the right place. I've trucked all over Ca. and live here too. Probably the worst location to deliver is San Francisco bay area. L.A. probably the 2nd worst. Truck stops for L.A. are in Ontario, so allow for that. However, freeways into/out of L.A. have multiple routes. Advise going into L.A. 4 am if you are coming from Ontario. You will not have to worry low bridges. San Diego area is good for delivering. Maybe you'll get Bakersfield. In L.A. listen to KNX radio (am 1070) for constant traffic reports. Truck speed limit, 55, but you can do 60, no problem. One big headache, you empty out at 10 am in L.A. head for Ontario to bed down, and your lovely dispatcher gives you a load 1 mi from where you emptied !
