In the 8 years I’ve been driving this is probably the worst accident I’ve ever seen that occurred on the Ohio Turnpike.:(

Mind if I sing?( lyrics adjusted) "This winter I hear the drumming, 4 dead in Ohio, got to get down to it, truckers are running us down, should have been gone long ago, what if you knew her and found her dead in her car, how can you run when you know,,,, ", not to make fun of that awful day May 4. 1970, but how different is it, really? ,Okay, we're all pretty much "preaching to the choir" here, WE know what to do, the message isn't getting to these drivers, who, are clearly throwing caution to the wind for what we deem silly. Yeah, yeah, the 4 wheeler caused it,,maybe, but it USED to be our job to see that coming, and react accordingly. Not to dig up a dinosaur, but with the CB radio, we knew all about that crash ahead. This video posted above, I swear, if I wasn't killed in that car they hit, and was able, I'd probably kill that truck driver, as consequences for their actions. Yeah, I'd probably sit in jail too, but the anxiety would overwhelm me. Since we can't count on humans to make the right decisions anymore, we have to put into place some sort of "control", that senses road conditions and mechanically controls the vehicle safely. Obviously, with current drivers habits, we can't rely on them anymore, and this is the result.

In the pictures and video's i've seen of this incident, there don't seem to be any of the Mega's. Most all are plain white trailers. Doesn't mean they weren't involved, just not obvious. Rentals, leased or 2nd-3rd owner.

I’ve been saying that for awhile now. Swift and Werner are never present anymore. Just the imports.

That’s because most of the megas know better and actually have their trucks shut down!
This storm was forecasted last week,so nobody has any excuse!
I’m at home but my company has sending out mandatory shutdowns for trucks in the area!

Some folks think that freight is more important…like you stated, many companies now shut down due to liability issues nowadays regarding this crap..better to get there late than never make it.

I29 is always bad it gets a lot of black ice and wind. A lot of drivers don't know that area and it looks ok to drive fast on.

You can tell those cars were flying. For that black pickup to end up like that, they must have been doing 65 mph, AND tailgating.
