Faster than the last time I was there maybe that detention they charged last time got their acts together. Or maybe that's the normal load time. I went there just after the holidays. Stuck tonight here in Bolingbrook waiting my load to be ready it was supposed to be loaded already.

Getting empty at the Sam’s club in Council bluffs, then bouncing over to the Lincoln drop yard and grab a load going to Four Oaks for a drop Friday. From there I will bounce home empty and roll back out Tuesday morning.
BigR, MidWest_MacDaddy and rokue Thank this. -
Dropped my load in Columbia SC this morning. Went to the Peetro nearby and parked Down to :59 on my 70. My next pickup is a live load tomorrow in Anderson SC going to Grand Island NE for Sunday at 4 am. I am hoping for a T CALL at Council Bluffs or Lincoln. Lemme guess. Local drivers don't work Sundays. Uy Vey!

That’s not a bad store in Grand Island, nice and quick. I went into the Council Bluffs store 1.5 hrs before my appointment, got me in and out in 30 minutes.gntorres61 and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this.

So HD Joliet is trying something new.
The last few times that I’ve been here they have given me a drop spot that was already occupied. So I’d drop it in the next open spot, wherever that might be, and report back to them where they will be able to locate their load.
This time I pull up like normal and was basically told “drop it anywhere on the yard except a door, and record the Spot Number and associated Verification Code for us”
OK, done… lol

I have NEVER dropped in a spot they gave me. They are always taken by another trailer. Almost the same thing with Harbor Freight. (I have been able to put it in the given spot 2 or 3 times)runningman0661 and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this.

So I've more or less made up my mind that FCC will be my next employer of choice. Just a few more questions before i submit an application.
1. Do they have per diem? If so, are you able to opt out or is it forced?
2. I have one ticket on my record. Code S94, driving too fast for conditions. It happened over 3 years ago though and before I ever got my CDL. I've had no accidents before or after i got my CDL and my MVR should be clean besides that. Will FCC get bent out of shape over this?
3. Do they accept your current medical card or do they make you get a new one? My current one is good until June 1st of this year.
4. Since I'm closest to the yard in KCMO, I'm assuming that most of my runs will either begin and terminate here or around the area for hometime. I saw that there's been some deliveries into the Topeka area but i don't know how often that happens. Do they have you take the truck home? If so, do they pay deadhead miles home? I.e. I live about 180 miles or so from KCMO.
5. I don't know what experience they require but I have 1 year 7 months as of now. Would this be okay?
Thanks.dwells40 Thanks this.
