Looks to be around 1979-80 judging by the Honda's on it. You don't see car haulers like this anymore. At least I haven't.

That looks like a double stinger setup. I'm guessing it is out West. Those look like early to mid 1980s Hondas, with maybe a few non-Hondas.

All Hondas. A few Accord hatchback, sedan and wagon models, along with Prelude coupes and some Civic/CVCC hatchbacks for good measure.

Must be from around 1980. My second car was a new 80 Civic hatchback pictured there.

That was Convoy from Portland Oregon hauling to Salt Lake City and into Montana and North And South Dakota. The drivers made a lot of money just loading at Portland. I think they ran as far east as Aberdeen SD, as one customer had a transmisson problem with a car bought in Minneapolis and he could not get it fixed, and finally got the area representative to allow them to exchange the transmisson with the reps car that was made in Japan. Solved his problem. The cars delivered into Montana and South and North Dakota were made in Japan and were better quality.
At one time around 1980, Convoy had planned a large rail facility in Sioux Falls SD but cancelled it when they could not get MN to allow their 18 car haulers.

Wyoming will not allow this set up. The only place it would work is out of Laurel and Butte MT for Sierra Mountain Carriers. I think Sierra has some stingers with 3 axle trailers in Montana. That would allow them to go over 80,000 lbs, and with a over length permit also allows 14 1/2 feet height in Montana, Idaho and Washington under 1 permit.

Cassens had some 14 car stinger hauling Neons out of Belvider IL, I think they were Delvan trailers.
