Their drivers are miserable #######. God forbid they park next to reefer trucks and apu’s then complain about them.

 

I was with them briefly and man was it weird!! So there’s a brother (Doug the “Weirdo”) and sister (Kay “Hardlife”) that run it now. All of the old owners are gone, (Lol) I find this funny because of how everyone that’s stuck there all preach about family and loyalty, it only applies if you want to kill yourself running their loads for pennies on the dollar.

They pick and choose who they afford a decent paycheck, everyone else, well you’ll be starving in a extremely basic truck, alone, because there’s no riders or pets. This is ridiculous to me because it’s a lonely experience for a driver and to not even have the option is a dealbreaker.

They also have outward and inward facing cameras. They want you to wear a uniform, no long hair/facial hair, and no earrings. (Lol) how would they even know, oh I forgot the cameras.

So at the terminal they have all these old ladies (Lol) posted up at the windows, just watching and reporting everything they see. It’s creepy and funny at the same time (Lol).

Dispatching is a bit of a joke, if you choose to go with them make sure you know how to trip plan and double check the bills, not the load assignment or the dispatchers word. Because they will give you the wrong info on purpose and we’re not talking about a few miles, we’re talking whole states.

Watch your pay as well, their hourly pay scheme is set-up to screw the driver, by not paying them for extra work, especially if it’s not turned in on time.

Back in the day they were a better company, but with the brother and sister at the helm, (Lol) I just don’t see any improvements anytime soon.

One positive is they are very nice while they are working you like a slave and paying you crumbs for loads their getting a lot of money …using you to move.

 

Yep! They can’t keep drivers anymore. It’s kinda sad, I knew the old owner, he’s been long gone for a while now, his daughter ran it for a bit as well. Used to be a nice company to work for. If your in the Iowa area and looking for a good company to drive for, try Caledonia. Good bunch over there, good equipment too.

Oakley Transport, Wynne Transport Service, ANDREWS LOGISTICS, Kenan Advantage Group, VIRAMONTES EXPRESS INC, Venezia, Heniff, Trimac Transportation, Circle K, Foodliner, Inc, Love's, Breckenridge Trucking, Linde Inc, Prime, Inc., etc.

Stay away from Viessman Trucking also, they now own Johnsrud and there allowing it to go down the drain. Glad I could help

Excuse me, but I don't believe that is what he is saying at all. He might show up tomorrow. Or the next day.Or even next week. Who are YOU to say he won't be back anytime soon? Just a bit pessimistic, are we? Won't you be surprised when he (whoever HE is) waltzes through the door.....

 

I bet I can hold my breath until I turn blue before we see him again.
