Just wanted to share a small story:

Hurricane Ian destroyed my home, and Reid dove along with fellow employees paid for my flood insurance deductible.

totally not needed, but an amazing thing to do.

I have a letter, and the check from him but I think I’ll keep those things private and not post them.

I’ve worked here 7-years any questions I’ll try to answer em.

Has the Knight/Swift buyout affected the atmosphere and operations any?

Great question. My buddy left AAA COOPER to be an O/I because of this!

A little off topic, but how many companies, specifically the drivers, are better off after a merger? I've heard a lot of horror stories but there must be somebody that came out ahead.

@jgarciajr40 ...thanks for sharing that. Good boss there.

From what I've seen on the outside, they're still operating as a separate entity. I haven't seen swift pulling their trailers etc

Not yet. It took about 2 years for us to pull one of their trailers.

AAA has a yard right next to my OD yard in Indy. I've seen AAA pulling Swift trailers in and out of there.

So far everything is the same; they did make the 401k a little worse only matching 3% instead of 6% and now there’s a vesting period. But they also did make the health insurance better.

no, same good same bad. If anything they started buying better tractors and a few electric pallet jacks at my terminal.

went from driving a 2010 Volvo to a 2022 cascadia

That’s exactly what they did here at the beginning. Our 401K was switched over to Principal from our previous company, then they changed it over to contributing once a year instead of weekly. The yearly match is done in February. And our health insurance got better.
