My truck uses half a gallon over 4000 miles. I of course thought my egt cooler was leaking(isxcm2350)

I bought a pressure tool kit off Amazon and found so many leaks.

Thermostat housing, trans cooler, and the apu lines.

Now the system holds pressure to 20 psi.

If your using coolant it's not always your egr.

    This is very true.

If you pressurize the system and just let it sit for awhile, when you come back and look at it you'll be surprised at the leaks you'll find.

I’m usually good about checking my clamps and hoses occasionally. Especially new ones after a day, then a week or so, I just recently checked all mine, first time in 2 yrs. since I had an inframe, new radiator, CAC etc. Hoses were about 6 mos. old at the time. Anyways, every single one was loose. It’s a wonder I didn’t have any leaks. The turbo boots were also loose, and all the air compressor hoses. Surprised one didn’t blow off.
