Truck stops with good food

Already popular among truckers who already stop there because of truck parking being available is Cowboy burgers in Fontana, CA on south Etiwanda street.

They only ask that you not treat your personal hygiene in the men's room.

Another one I visited for the first time was TJ's restaurant and lounge in Creswell, Oregon between my hometown of Eugene and Cottage Grove to the south.

Very cozy atmosphere. The website photos are outdated since there are booths in place of tables. Gone also is that 19th century podium with the useless plastic window that was supposed to protect you from the deadliest virus in human history.

The waitstaff was friendly and efficient.

Update: My second visit there didn't go so well. To their credit, the place was packed with locals, but the service went the way of Malaysian Flight 370.

The waitress forgot I existed the moment she became distracted. So I decided to take a seat and await service. After ten minutes, I decided it was time to go.

Within easy walking distance was a Chinese food place. The building used to be a gas station, so you can imagine how that went. Surprisingly, the food wasn't half bad.

Across the way was another eatery I had not noticed before. From a distance, the building does not look like a restaurant, so there's that.

I decided to wander in hoping to score a milkshake, but this place was busy, too, and its staff overwhelmed, so I left empty-handed.

They can be hit or miss from location to location. Even from day to day at a given location.

I've been forgetting to mention the Rib Eye restaurant in Napavine, Washington. Exit 72 off I-5 if I recall correctly.

Good food and fast, friendly service. Never had a problem there.

Truck parking is close by adjacent to the restaurant. Subway (if you hate yourself) and Burger King are also nearby.

Love's is on the other side of the freeway.
