Glad to hear something finally went right for you this week. Rolled by there this morning about 0915 and saw the trailer sitting there. Have a safe ride.

Man i feel like someone ran me over with my own truck. I'm okay to drive mentally but I feel physically exhausted even though I haven't really done anything to warrant it. Got some DayQuil severe and donuts. Hopefully it goes away soon.

Nyquil is better.... I once printed a fake, old timey label for a bottle that said "Dr Vicks' Therapeutic FireWater"

A few takeaways from the driver advisory board meeting on Friday.
    1. They are moving the company awards banquet to early in November instead of the same weekend as Thanksgiving. It will be a “test” to see if more out of town drivers will attend.
    2. A total of 112 new trucks are on order, 76 Freightliners, 10 KWs, 16 Volvos, and 10 Mack’s. FCCs average cost per truck is in the $175k range X 112 trucks is just shy of $20 million.
    3. The price of a trailer they spec two years ago was $30Kish range that same spec now is closer to $60k.
    4. FCCs philosophy when it comes to customer diversity is that try not to let any one customer be more than 10% of their business. (Very smart)
    5. The freight forecast from our customers for the coming months looks positive. Some customers are still having supply chain issues (I.e getting product or ingredients) but that will hopefully get better soon.

It was a very positive meeting, and reaffirmed my decision to come back to FCC. They are trying to get the truck count up by about 30 trucks, to the level they had prior to the pandemic.

Wish they ordered more KW's. I'd rather not have another Cascadia when it's time to trade this truck in. This is my 5th Cascadia I've driven and I haven't driven anything else but. Want to drive something else for a change.

Also them ordering Mack's seems strange. It was my impression that they didn't like their Volvo's that much.

With the manufacturers behind and backed up, they had to take what they can get. The Macks will actually be black.

Black Mack's will definitely be different. Wonder if they'll go for white or red decals.

After that Pete loaner I was in I have a whole new appreciation for my Freightshaker!!... it may not be as cool looking on the outside as a 379 or W-9 super trucker rig, but I tell ya what this interior & bunk setup Is tough to beat. If I remember right I think you have a midroof, I think you'd have a different opinion with a condo, take that upper mattress out and there's storage forever! And the fridge/freezer isn't even comparable to those factory built ins, hell, I was even able to make a 32"TV fit in this Cascadia! Along with a dianasor direct TV receiver, DVD player, coffee pot, microwave and plenty of other crap i probably don't need but can't leave home without lol wouldn't mind seeing what some of the other makes have to offer for my next ride options, but I definitely got no complaints with the Cascadia condo.
