Funny that I ran into this clip, over the weekend, one of the carrier drivers I haul for had a road rage incident with a pick up. There was a witness following him watching the whole thing, the witness recognized the name of the company name on the truck and emailed them. The carrier looked at the video from the truck camera, let’s me just say this, he’s no longer employed by this company.

    and THAT is the problem...

morons like that, make the news, not the life saving driver, that pulled a family of 6 out of a burning car before it explodes, and carries each injured person 4 miles down the road to safety, then rescues the family dog and cat, then sets up a barrier for other vehicles to pass safely...

nope, all the public see are "frick and frack" the moronic "alleged" drivers doing some horse pucky BS......

trucking companies NEED to do a better job of vetting potential employee's.

back in my day, at 1 job i applied to, i did my application in blue ink, but my pen ran out of ink, and i had to use thier pen.......BLACK ink...

don't you know, the HR guy gave me the riot act, and the Spanish Inquisition about that.....???

pfftt...trucking companies today, hire on the spot, and could care less your background.....

what a gigantic joke the industry has become.

let ME be the witness to a trucking event, and i will BURY the trucker.

That will not happen, the bottom line is the profit margins & shareholder confidence. As long as those stay up, companies are just fine with letting the insurance companies deal with the aftermath.

exactly, and the industry will just keep falling

i hope to see more "nuclear verdicts" in the future, so much so, even self insured companies will fold up and fade away.

The tow industry is even worse, there just isn't any common national regulations.

Any joe fool can be put in a light class wrecker, zero experience, and sent down the road.

Hell, we have one of those in my rinky dink town, already wrecked two rollbacks a year apart a while back, yet still has only a requirement of valid drivers license.
