Tesla being sued by many that alleged the company employees shared sensitive and intimate photos and even made some into memes.
Tesla driver sues company for allegedly accessing customer videos
Now that cam in your nanny truck; I know the company downplayed it and told you it’s just for safety and you may of convinced yourself it was true since you needed the job. But how do you really know where those vids are going and who is seeing them. I know there was recently a thread about a female driver suing a company over videos of her taken and many here made fun of the female driver and seemingly supported those cams in trucks.
This is yet another reason why truck drivers need to stop undervaluing their own dignity and come together and demand an end to these cams once and for all. Driver facing, road facing, all of them gotta go. This proves people can’t be trusted.
For those that support driver facing cams in trucks

I don't exactly support the cameras but I'm not against them to the point that I'm going to leave my set schedule and PTO to start from scratch at a new company. Nothing I do in the driver's seat would be worth sharing with anyone. They did get some footage of me shaking my head and rolling my eyes this past week but I'm sure there are more entertaining things to make into memes. If I'm in the bunk, the curtain blocks the camera. After discussing it with the family we all agree that just dealing with the cameras will not make me less of a man. The size of my anatomy will not decrease.

Respectfully sir, when I first read this the first thing I thought is this poor guy is rationalizing the blatant disrespect of his own dignity.
I’m not a company truck driver anymore, left it after decades of accident and citation free driving. But I still have friends dealing with it, though I was home every night, and didn’t have to actually sleep with those nanny cams and nanny mics and nanny computers making sure I was being good and compliant, I wouldn’t be able to sleep with that just on the other side of the curtain. Just dealing with it 12 hours a day was more than enough for me to do as Fleetwood Mac said “go your own way” and my way was straight into self employment as those driver cams were spreading faster than the coronavirus. And I couldn’t take being called into the office and the doofus safety manager is showing me vids of 4 wheelers in front of me and I’m being told by this low form of life that’s never driven anything bigger then a Tesla that I’m not following proper following distance and I’m like that’s rush hour on the freeway and that turd cut me off like a million other turds do and I can’t always brake fast enough to avoid a camera trigger, and your videos not showing the situation in its entirety. But they never listen, the technology is trusted more so then the driver.like clay… +++, HoundDog7, Savor the Flavor and 3 others Thank this. -

I guess it's just a matter of perspective. I discussed the pros and cons with my wife and we decided to at least wait and see how it plays out with the cameras. I tried the o/o route and it wasn't a good fit for me. I doubt if there's a trucking company in existence where the worker drones are truly respected so I'm sticking with the devil I know. I sleep in the truck a few times a month. If they lied about the microphone being disabled then they can listen to me snore. My dignity remains intact at this point. If I decide that has changed, then I'll leave.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.
